The journal promotes open-access publishing which can refer to free, unrestricted online access to research outputs such as journals, articles, and books. OA content is open to all without any accessing fees without paying a subscription charge. Articles are freely available immediately after publication without any registration. This means that researchers, students, readers, scholars, and any layperson from anywhere and anytime have rapid access to the latest research content via the Innovative Open Access (OA) Policy. Repository Policy

Authors can deposit their published articles in any repository. After publication of the article in the journal, authors are allowed and encouraged to submit their content online (for example, in institutional repositories or on their website). As this can result in fruitful discussions and earlier and more frequent citations of published work which can help to promote the accessibility and reproducibility of research findings for others.

The journal takes a signed copy of the consent declaration form from authors where they sign and accept responsibility for releasing this material to the publisher on behalf of any and all co-authors. But author retains the copyright of the content and transfers all the licensing and publishing rights to the publisher. The author grants the publisher the only right to commercially utilize the article. For the duration of the copyright's full legal term, they provide the publisher, exclusive rights, and license to publish. This transfer of publication rights covers the non-exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the article, including reprints, translations, photographs, reproductions, microform, electronic form (offline, online), or any other reproduction of similar nature.

Plagiarism

Self-plagiarism is the redundant reuse of your own work, “use another’s production without crediting the sources,” or “present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source.” The JOHS also considers “self-plagiarism” as a form of plagiarism. An example of self-plagiarism would be when an author borrows from his or her own previously published work without the proper citation within the newly submitted manuscript. We provide iThenticate software to our editor and reviewers as a part of our manuscript submission system.

Digital Archiving

Digital archiving ensures the preservation and accessibility of digital content over time, safeguarding it from technological changes and data loss. We prioritize the longevity and integrity of our journal by utilizing leading digital archiving services Portico and CLOCKSS.
